Andi Kneeland, Immediate Past President
What do you do as Past President of the
Milwaukee Chapter?
As Past President, I look forward to jumping in where I can bring
value to help achieve the goals of BMA, as well as get involved
with the committees when needed.
How long have you been a member of BMA?
I became a member in 2006 but have been involved as a volunteer or
committee member since 2003. I got involved as a volunteer for the
Bell Awards, moved into leading the judging process, and eventually
became the Bell Awards Chair.
Tell us about your background in
marketing.
I have been with Johnson Controls for 15 years and have had the
opportunity to work in almost every aspect of internal and external
communications. Currently, I support several vertical markets which
allows me the opportunity to focus on specific customer segments.
In addition, I manage our Global Sales Recognition program which is
a tremendous pleasure for me as I get to conceptualize and
implement a live awards event each year. I enjoy the opportunity to
be creative and the immediate gratification of being able to
recognize the best of the best in our sales organization.
What is the most valuable part of your BMA
membership?
The relationships I have formed and networking have been very key
benefits for me. Through involvement on committees and the Board, I
have been able to enhance my professional experiences and learn new
skills that I may not have had the opportunity to do in the
workplace.
What do you do when you're not busy being Past President
of the Milwaukee Chapter?
Run! I have completed 10 marathons and am currently training with
the hopes of completing two more this fall. As avid Brewers fans
and baseball fans in general, my husband and I spend a lot of time
at Miller Park and anywhere else we can catch a game. We live,
work, and play in Downtown Milwaukee with our cats - Babs and
Abbey.
