Success Seminar

B2B Blueprint: 10 Steps to Social Media Success

Speaker:
Sima Dahl
President, Parlay Communications

While social media has certainly changed the game, it is still but one route to market.  In this hour-long presentation, Sima Dahl will provide a 10 Step Blueprint for B2B marketers trying to weave social media into their marketing mix.  From making your case to upper management and finding your target customers online through monitoring and measurement, Sima will set the stage by sharing success stories from both a small business and a large enterprise.  Rather than hype you can expect to hear frank and honest insights about the challenges B2B businesses have in achieving social media success.

Sima Dahl is a Marketing Consultant, Social Media Strategist, and Personal Branding Expert. Her company Parlay Communications, Ltd. helps businesses and business owners raise their visibility and generate leads through smarter marketing, branding and social media, a process she calls Moving from Message to Mindshare™. Sima previously spent 20 years as a corporate marketer and has worked for manufacturers, service firms and high-tech giants Business Objects and SAP.

Sima also provides sales training, keynote presentations and workshops to rainmakers, job seekers and ladder climbers on the art of networking in a digital age. Her 3-step social networking approach is called the Sway Factor™ system and her book by the same name is due out in the fall of 2010

In addition to running a thriving consulting practice, Sima is the founder of MarketingJobWire.com; serves on the board of the Chicago American Marketing Association (AMA); volunteers on the social media committee of the Chicago Business Marketing Association (BMA); writes a personal branding column for Marketing News; writes a monthly career column for MarketingPower.com; and blogs about marketing and social media on ParlayCommunications.com. Sima earned an undergraduate degree from University of Illinois and an MBA with distinction from DePaul University; she lives with her husband in Chicago.
